Recession Cuts into Plastic Surgery, but Number of Botox Procedures Rises

Being Too Thin Will Age Your Face
BY Rosemary Black

New research explains why being thin ages us more than anything else. This research shows that thinness does in fact make the face appear older, but this holds true only for women over 40, says lead study author Dr. Bahman Guyuron, chairman of the department of surgery at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland. The study, the first of its kind, to be published in the April issue of the Plastic and Reconstructive Journal, focused on a variety of factors that can make people look older. A thin face is the lead culprit because being slender causes a loss of volume in the face, which creates jowls and makes wrinkles develop. Read more.

Beauty Tip of the Month

(A Beauty Tip That Won't Break the Bank)

Looking for a great natural moisturizer? Try this pure ingredient that works wonders for the skin while de-stressing the body. Dab Safflower oil on your face a bit before bedtime. Sit up in bed while you read a chapter from a good book, allowing time for the oil to seep into your skin. Before you close your eyes, blot off any remaining oil with a warm, moist wash cloth to avoid staining your pillow case. Go green with this restful, natural moisturizer.
